Moyes Happy with Rooney Style

Manchester United boss David Moyes says he is happy with Wayne Rooney’s committed performances for the club in recent weeks.

The England international, who broke onto the Premier League scene under Moyes during their time at Everton, was criticised for kicking out at Cardiff City’s Jordon Mutch last weekend in the 2-2 in the Welsh capital.

Rooney bagged himself a goal and an assist in that game in what was otherwise a fine performance from the United talisman, who has not made his strongest start to the season.

If the reigning English champions are to retain their Premier League crown ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, who are favoured in the betting on bet365.com this term, then Rooney will have to be consistently be at the top of his game.

Despite the incident with Mutch in the Bluebirds clash, Moyes was pleased with Rooney’s performance and does not want the 28-year-old to change anything about his playing style and feels his commitment is what makes him a top player.
“He is an aggressive player,” said the United boss. “It is a big part of his game.

“He plays with his heart, as well as the skills he has got in abundance. That is the way he is and that is the way he was when he was a boy at Everton with me.

“That is what a lot of people have said might have been missing from his game last season but it is certainly not missing now. He has the hunger and desire back, he is committed for everything.”

With United currently sitting in sixth place in the Premier League table, the Red Devils have a crucial festive period ahead if they are to close the seven-point gap on frontrunners Arsenal, currently favourites for the title on www.bet365.com.
