Everton need to Capitalise on Favourable Fixtures

In recent years, Everton’s trip to Arsenal would have been a one-sided affair. The Toffees were known under David Moyes for their strong work ethic and determination to win, despite their small squad and budget.

Roberto Martinez had the difficult task of coming in and continuing his fine work, while trying to improve them to ensure they started to creep up on the Champions League places. The shrewd signings of Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku have worked wonders and people who bet on football will know it’s the perfect time to be an Everton fan at the moment.

Last week’s draw at Arsenal ended a run of difficult fixtures, and looking ahead, Martinez’s side need to capitalise on their upcoming fixtures. Up next, they face Fulham, Swansea, Sunderland and Southampton as they head into the New Year with the chance to firmly cement their place in the European places.

Southampton’s form has dipped and the latest football betting indicates that Everton have the chance to secure 12 points at a very difficult point of the season. Martinez’s style of play is working wonders for the Merseyside club at the moment, and with a small squad at his disposal you can’t help but feel they need to earn the points now while they have the chance.

The January transfer window will give Martinez the chance to strengthen his squad even further, and what better way to bring in a number of new faces than to be unbeaten in the Christmas period.
