Will Spain overcome the 1-5 debacle?

Spain has a must win match ahead of them and it will not be an easy one against Chile. The World champions still retain a sense of optimism as was described by their coach – Vicente Del Bosque (SPA):

“Many hours have passed and our spirits are higher. We now have to win our next two games, which won’t be easy, but is within the realms of possibility. We are searching for the best possible preparation and we are trying to make sure the players are not sad, we have to enjoy ourselves.” “We’ve been training well ever since we arrived. Everything has been perfect, and the first half against Holland went well. What was worrying was the second half. But now the players are optimistic again.”

As far as Netherlands who redeemed themselves a bit from last World Cup Final lost against Spain 1-0; Coach Van Gaal emphasize on staying grounded after 5-1 demolition of Span and ahead of Australia clash. A win will almost sent the Oranje to the next round:

“You win the World Cup by winning the final. This is just the first step. We have to keep our feet on the ground, we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves. We need to prove our capability to win over Australia, which won’t be that easy.

“I felt the team reacted very well, especially the older players. The more seasoned players know what is going on and they immediately warned the team this was simply one victory and that we haven’t earned anything. “We haven’t even made it to the next round yet so anything can happen and I’m very glad to see this”.
