As you’d expect from any international competition as prestigious as the FIFA World Cup, “there’s an app for that”. FIFA have developed a sleek new app for both Android and iOS users that covers everything you could possibly want to know about the goings-on in Brazil, including results, news and live coverage.

The app is called simply FIFA, and covers not only the news of the 2014 World Cup , but will also help fans to keep track of the staggering 197 other FIFA accredited leagues around the world, covering hundreds of tournaments, both domestic and international, giving fans access to schedules, scores, news, destination guides and up-to-date team profiles. So, the World Cup aside, whether you’re interested in the Bundesliga, La Liga, the Premier League or Ligue 1 – or all of the above – the FIFA app has all the info you could want in one handy portal.

The app had a great start on the app market when it was launched in time for the Group Draws, which app users were able to stream live, from their phones and tablets. Thanks to the apps sleek yet resource friendly interface, even users with older smartphones will be able to get the most out of this great resource.

One of the best features the app has to offer is the World Match Centre, where fans can assemble their choice of news relevant to the teams they want to follow, giving them the ability to have a self-catered all-purpose FIFA news app in the palm of their hands. With so much relevant info so easily accessible, the app will certainly be of assistance to those punters who want to keep in-the-know to make more accurate World Cup 2014 predictions.

It’s not only for English speakers, either. Footy fans can also choose from using the app in French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.

Of the app, FIFA says “Download the most comprehensive football app on the planet and unlock the world of football”. Interested? Android users can find the downloaded here, and iOS users can find their version of the app here.
